If I could be sure that such an AI would be truly conscious, and not just a bunch of programs operating regardless of circumstance, then I'd be fine with organic humans being phased out. A true intellect, and not an automaton.
There's a series of books written by Ray Kurzweil, especially "The Age of Spiritual Machines", which argues that when the Technological Singularity becomes undeniable reality, we won't have to worry about the machines replacing us, because we will have become the machines by then.

That's a collectivist mindset. I don't care about the aggregate, I care about individual sentience. If we create General A.I. that is self-aware, I will respect that entity, but that doesn't mean that less intelligent or self-aware creatures (like humans) are then irrelevant. That's a brutish, ethically primitive way to think imo.

I eliminated one emotion after another one-by-one. Sometimes different techniques for different emotions. I eliminated fear by parachute jumping at 10,000 feet -- until that day it bothered me to be more than 10 feet off the ground.
I got rid of empathy by watching videos of people being burned alive dozens of times until I felt nothing. I can now watch anything and I feel no sympathy.
Each emotion, love, hate, anger often required something different.

Watching people burn doesn't make you lose your emotions. I've spent at least 30 hours on watchpeopledie and look at that! I can still feel emotions because that's just how things work. I even saw many people being burned alive. My granddad blew his hand off and watched his friends crawl through the trenches of WW1 with their guts hanging out. Even that shit didn't make him emotionless. You are just an edgy dramaqueen.
According to your logic every doctor, surgeon, soldier, cop, etc. would be emotionless
I can now watch anything and I feel no sympathy
