Whether it's a movie or books; or in real life when some pretty girl talks those 'sweet' words.

During the initial days it was like 'ah, it's all probably a lie, but still feels good aye' kinda hamstering I did but then this quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky gave a reality check.

“The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to such a pass that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love, and in order to occupy and distract himself without love he gives way to passions and coarse pleasures, and sinks to bestiality in his vices, all from continual lying to other men and to himself.”

One cannot wish his ingrained blue pill tendencies away; the right thing to do here is not to deny but acknowledge it as part of the package and not act upon it.

It's getting easier since I am nearing mid 30s and can discern myself from my sex drive.

Hope that helps.
