You can learn this and apply it to good use.

When taking a test for an employer, for example, the correct answer will always be the one which imposes maximal liability on said employee. I speak from actual experience when I say I have used this theory to pass tests, and got scored nearly flawless.

Learn to sniff out the fear, the guilt and this invisible currency of "shame" and you can see how it's used everywhere. The answer "Mr. Authority" is looking for will always be the one that imposes "fear". The correct answer is always the one that makes you responsible for everything.

It's also a good thing to know when trying for a job (and you just need the $$ while looking for something better)

If you really wanted to, you could run a dozen red lights and probably wouldn't get caught (depending on where you live).

The reality is that there are not every many cops on the street that you have to worry about. We avoid breaking the law out of fear due to the possibility that a cop could be there.

But most of the time, he will never see you run a red light.
