It's called "masking". As an autistic person, people often make the mistake of thinking I've "overcome" my autism. I have not. I've simply learned how to pretend to be normal for long enough to hold a conversation.

Behind the scenes however, I'm kind of a super MGTOW. Because I do ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING my own way. My routines a weird, my ways of solving problems are weird, and I have all sorts of unseen limitations I have to work around 24/7.

It's stressful as fuck, but going my own way is good for me. Because it means I have nobody to answer to, and I can live at my own pace.

I don't , though I do practice my social skills twice a month just in case I have to communicate in the real world. Yes I was that weird kid at school but it wasn't a handicap because I could fight, smoke and swear.

The fake people who pretend and are actors in life constantly expending all their mental energies pretending to be something they are not....like used car salesman trying to sell themselves as what others want so they can be liked by everyone!
