I don't want to see this movie, I think Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig are mediocre actresses at best and it's quite amusing, after all the feminist and sjw dirt-throwing, to see the whole process ending in complete and utter failure. Man, I feel fucking bad for Sony. The trusted Americans to properly run their entertainment division, and they gave it to a bunch of SJWs who greenlit shit projects and drove them into the ground. They are already talking about making Ghostbusters into a "cinematic universe" despite the disastrous box office. The previous co-chairman, Amy Pascal, was a hardcore SJW who even wanted to make a gamergate movie about Zoe Quinn, and she got fired after having been exposed for underpaying female employees. There's irony for you. Feminism has always been about upper class women shitting on lower class women and lower class men, using feminism as a shield.

The first time I heard of the new ghostbusters, it was a make-a-wish foundation charity type of event. The post title was "Ghostbusters visit sick child at hospital" or something like that, then I saw these women dressed as ghostbusters. In my head I thought "That's weird, why are these average looking mothers dressing up as ghostbusters? That's alright I guess if that's what the sick kids want..", then the movie was announced like a month later and I was like WTF, those were the actual actors in the movie?!

I thought they were just average people doing a charity event, didn't know they were the actual actors.

I watched this, some girl took me to it and paid so I figured why the hell not, in the interests of really figuring out if the shitstorm around it was justified.

It really was pretty bad, just pandering bullshit and anti male the whole way through, there was a single tolerable character in it (Holtzmann) because she mostly kept her mouth shut and just interjected with cheeky shit every now and then making fun of the rest of them or the situations in general.

This scene with her was the only thing in the movie that made me think "Yeah, ok, that was alright.". And even then, it was just like a poorly done John Woo ripoff that was totally out of place in a movie like this.

The sad thing is, this same director made Freaks and Geeks, BridesMaids, and Spy. Freaks and Geeks was a great show, BridesMaids and Spy were great films. He's also directed several episodes of Arrested Development and The Office. But now he decided "I'm going to make a feminist statement!" SMH!
