So, I was just terminated today from a route sales position. The reason was too many customer complaints, though they never told me directly that there was a problem that I did not take steps to correct. Some of this was caused by people in different facets of the company not getting the word out about product shortages until after the fact, and the company not helping out by reaching out to the customers so the route guys could focus on their routes. You'd think human resources could be put to something useful for once.
Anyhow, I started 4-5 months ago. About a month ago my truck broke down, so that put me behind. I'm new at this, so that wasn't good. (I ran with it down ome cylinder for like 2 or 3 weeks, no ac, 90-100 degree days) I was told when I started that when this stuff happens they send help to get you back on track. Didn't happen, so I worked 60 to 70 hour weeks for a bit. The replacement truck they sent came unfueled and was a completely different style, so more time list in unfamiliarity and a broken door holder that I had to fix because the light didn't work.
Then I got another spare truck, which broke down. Bad sensor connection, and bad sensor. The guy that drove it before me said it drove fine, no way. The supervisor told me that it rings and dings at you sometimes, but not to worry about it. It's a fucking alarm to warn you something is not right. So, back to swap into the other truck. No ac, 90 plus days again. Well, at least I got used to that.
I get this one back, and I start noticing I'm not getting certain product. Well, after two weeks of that there is a message that they have to find a new distributor. They don't call any customers, they leave that up to us. I'm already swamped with all this other crap. I do not have time for incompetence from people in leadership positions when I am still learning and trying to recover from their piss poor equipment and procedures.
Also, i forgot to mention during this time my customer list in handheld disappears. That means no auto restock order for the warehouse, no suggested loads for the truck and every customer has to be entered manually.
How much has to get fucked up to get just a little slack? Now, I'm trying to step away from this in an even, honest manner. Fuck them, this is about me now, what I can take from this and where I am going. Am I an incompetent dunning-kruger sufferer, just not fit for the job, or is corporate America really this fucked?

Not sure how you're that based on your post.
Sometimes you have a statistical bubble where everything that can go wrong, will go wrong.
Which a lot of people don't realize, that sometimes everything bad happens simultaneously, which is why you plan for failures during times of success, so the shit averages out.
Shit happens. Don't take it too personal. Solve one problem at a time, and eventually shit starts to even out.
Stay strong.

I can tell you this, I'm glad those problems are no longer my problems. Onward, to new prospects. On the upside, I banked money so I can comfortably find a new job without the stress of wondering how I'll eat or pay rent. Thanks for the encouragement.

Nice album. Reminds me of industrial/trance from the 90s.

Well, the "reason" they gave was they got too many calls from customers. There was no 'action plan', counseling, warning, suggestions, etc. They had me using some app for logs, they encourage you to just turn your break on when you go into a stop. I couldn't afford to actually take 30 minutes most days, or I'd get further behind. It is an 'at-will' state, do you really think there is a case here?
