If I had a female friend that picked up the tab occasionally then I would be inclined to do the same. But there’s no way she gets a free meal just because she’s got a vagina if the offer to pay is never reciprocated.

36 years of life, I've paid for my male friends going out to eat on multiple occasions and my male friends have paid for me. I've offered to pay and been declined and they've offered to pay where I've declined. Looking back not once can I even remember a time when a female friend either paid or offered to pay. Women just aren't like that.

We know women are like this, we know this is their nature. The addition of the whole "friend zone" shit takes out into the wandering land of the frustrated nice guys.

Going your own way means you're not at the table with her to begin with. If you are, it's a business lunch and there are other people at the table anyways.
