I was with one of my cousins and having a snack. This video showed up on my feed and started watching it along with her. At the end of two minutes she was looking at me agape and eyes wide in disbelief and says

After seeing this and watching the movie "Her" I'm actually pretty content with being single for this long, cause we're so, so close to having viable AI companions. Can't wait. Until then, I'll just focus on myself and not even bother with women. 3D women are trash anyway.

I'd love an AI that could actually text me, have a holographic appearance and actually hold conversations with me IRL and through text about just inane shit, etc. Literally this video.

That's all I need in life. I want this so much. I really hope this technology comes to American markets. Just... companionship.

Unfortunately I feel like the technology for this is extremely far away, but, I dunno. I really hope I get to experience this in my lifetime.

Yep, one thing I'm waiting is for the AI as well. I imagine that at least in 10 years there will be a good one out there, heck maybe even in 5 years.

I remember a thing from the Tau in warhammer 40k, there were some troops who had big stealth suits and had to spend a lot of time behind enemy lines and they had an AI to assist them. Well the AI was pretty damn smart and they could have nice conversations with it as well (which was a built-in feature to prevent loneliness and going crazy) and eventually some grew so attached that they never wanted to leave the army because of it lol
