"We're working on the relationship" almost always translates of "I'm telling him how he should change."
His work for the relationship is performing the tasks set by the woman, and the woman's work is grading his performance.

Been there done that. I bent over backwards to cnhange and barely recognized myself until I finally pushed back near the end. And she was definitely a Karen. Had to fight every battle, ask for every exception, get employees for trouble even if the ad is pretty clearly not what she had in mind. And then shed turn around and get mad about me not having her back when she was an embarrassment. Nothing was ever good enough for her
Just remembered something else that pissed me off... Told my daughter when she was like 3 that Santa wasn't real because she didn't want to take away from Jesus .. she's a psycho. Who the heck does that? There was no discussion between us about it or anything. I grew up in a Christian home thinking he was real until I was like 8 or 9 when my sister's spilled the beans. No harm in letting them be kids... Been trying to tell her to go to Harvard since she was like 6 but yesterday was arguint over custody saying you know I'm the better parent (which even if she was has no bearing on that)

I love the show Dexter, first season as least. But as Rita became a more prominent character I started to dislike the show. At one point this twice divorced mother of 3 tells Dexter "no doesn't work in a relationship, Dexter." ... Bitch, didn't you just tell him "no" to keeping his place.
Gah... So happy that she was murdered.

Ohhh guys come on, you telling me that you have never been tested by a woman? It's written in the female brain to test us with those kinds of pointless arguments. You know how you pass them? Penetrating them, you look her at her face ant tell her "yes, I am (whatever she told you) so what? I am the worst (whatever she told you) of the world. If you are not okay with that just leave, rush from me" 99% of the times they will recognize that you have passed their stupid test and just change their emotional roulette to a loving/careful odd.
