I briefly got involved with a single mother who was staying with her aunt a few apartments down oh maybe a decade ago. She had a 3 yr old boy and got kicked out of her apartment for not paying rent. I was maybe a month out of breaking up with my first cohabitation so in my mind, easy lay.

Most mothers don't really love their children. They are emotionally dependent on them but they don't really care about them as actual independent human beings. All of the "my child is my world" bullshit is nothing more than an act. The greatest gift that you could give any child would be to have their mother removed from the picture after age 3. Only limited supervised contact from that point on.
