I'm not as extreme as some people in this sub, so let me just say I speak only for myself as a person who agrees with some of the ideas passed around in the thread. I have had one relationship in my life (I'm 20). It didn't end badly, in fact we are still friends. It's not that I avoid women, because its virtual impossible unless you make yourself a recluse which is hurtful to myself as an individual. I just believe personally that there are some societal factors that stereotype me as who I am supposed to be or become and I believe that is wrong. Whereas with women it is generally fought and decided to be bad to stereotype, with men it almost seems like an afterthought. I am disgusted by women who believe that men, or any type of person for that matter, is inherently bad in any way because of how they were born. I am proud to be me and that is why I am part of this subreddit.

We have to provide, make a lot of money, be a certain height, high social status. Obviously those things aren't the same for every girl but that's what the majority look for. On the other hand, all guys' benefit is companionship with the preference that you aren't morbidly obese. Some women even struggle with this. They hit 30 and think it's acceptable to become a land whale. What do women actually bring to the table apart from contributing to our shared biological imperative?

First off it’s not a thought process, it’s a life process after realizing after years of abuse (mental and/or physical) that aspiring to have a family, live this pre-ordained domestic lifestyle regardless of consequences is soul death.

I had a 10 year relationship with an alcoholic who made frequent suggestions that I marry her and declined because she refused to ever take responsibility for anything she ever did; then tried for alimony despite everything I gave her for all the time we spent together- a home, a car, a comfortable living, enjoy her pets and hobbies despite the fact that I am convinced she cheated on me at least twice.

The second was a 3 year relationship was with a woman who spent every last breath lying so she could keep me on the hook as a weekend fuck to unload her other personal drama onto. She had a family she was tired of so she spent all her time making up lies about where she was. I’ve had countless dates in between, countless experiences with women in work, family, friend scenarios and it’s no secret what the grand majority of women are about- improving their situation by attaching themselves to someone who can get them what they want.

OP, do yourself a favor put yourself in mens’ shoes in every scenario and make a realization about what is happening to us. Don’t post inane questions in here until you can really get to the heart of the problem. Men are sick of wasting their precious time and resources following their biological needs to reproduce when all it does is cost them everything they are and worked for.
