Progressives brought us -
Feminism
Rape culture
The alleged 'Patriarchy'
Slut shaming
Fat shaming
Wage gap
Pound Me Too
Yes Means Yes
College Title IX
He for She
Toxic Masculinity
Man spreading
Man splaining
LGBTQWYX&Z
Tax funded abortions
He for she
etc, etc ad infinitum
Not sure how any self described MGTOW can support a political movement/ideology that pushes for this agenda. People keep arguing that 'classical liberals' aren't progressives. Tell that to the progressives who co-opted liberalism. No one today equates being liberal w/the classical definition of liberal; because todays liberals are liberal about everything except liberty.

i grew up very liberal. i'd rather vote for Hitler than a leftist at this point. life is weird. the first 21 years of my life i hated the right wing with a fierce passion. especially how much they rely on religion to justify dumb shit. i still hate them, but compared to the progressives. holy fuck, i'll take them any day. i never thought i'd say that, but here we are.
[–]TheDrunkSemaphore3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
I don't understand the opposition here to tax funded abortions, or abortions in general.
You really want these women to reproduce? Then suck benefits out of the system?
Even if you're vehemently opposed to abortion, you can clearly see it's in everyone's best interest that these women get as many abortions as possible.
For starters, the decision to abort a child is left solely to the female alone. The father has zero say or rights in the decision. That's fucking horrific. I can't imagine finding out that I have a child growing inside the womb of a woman only to have her unilaterally decide that she wants to terminate his/her life. That alone is enough for me to not support abortion. Also, wtf should tax payers have to foot the bill for abortions? People can pick up free contraceptives from Planned Parent Hood (that name is the biggest euphemism of all time) which is already funded by tax payer dollars.
[–]JamesP20182 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Taxes are part of the social contract. They are good when spent on certain things such as national defense, trade agreements, establishing laws which support negative freedom, etc. Welfare and the principle of a daddy government is of no benefit to me and therefore I am against it. I do not particularly care what a given pregnant woman does, however I take offense at having my wages garnished to pay for her failure to do adulting. WIC and other associated programs are also a garnishment on my wages which I no longer have available to spend on what I have determined is worthwhile.
[–]TheDrunkSemaphore-1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes, I get that. It's okay to be against daddy government stuff. I am as well!
But lets be real here, of all of the benefits we should cut, free abortions are literally at the end of the list.
Penny wise, pound foolish.
[–]philksigma821 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Men already pay enough in support of their Shiite life choices
[–]TheDrunkSemaphore-1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
and you would pay more in taxes for benefits for the kid instead of $400 for an abortion.
[–]philksigma820 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
No with free abortions I’ll help pay for the 6-7 she kills in her 20s and then still end up supporting the 1-2 she keeps at 30 because she wanted to post pictures of them on Facebook.
[–]Naz-One 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Or later on when "reproductive health" means freezing her eggs at 20 for $10,000, so she can be a "strong independent woman" and pursue her career. How long till they put that on daddy gubment's tab?
[–]BachelorInc1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Exactly. Everything is under the guise of some euphemism such as "reproductive health".
PLANNED PARENTHOOD = killing one's child and thus having no parent hood.
REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH = tax payer funded STD/STI check ups and treatments.
Fuck.
That.
[–]Naz-One 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
It's the foot in the door for them. Abortions turns into "reproductive health", which turns into free tampons, birth control, or whatever else their yeast infested snatches require. It's all just a ruse to get more free stuff.
[–]TheDrunkSemaphore0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
and in the end it costs us more if you don't let them abort.
I really don't understand the logic.
[–]Naz-One 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
They can abort all they want. I just don't want to have to pay for it or her birth control, her pads, her brats, her food or anything else. She should pay for all of those things. It's her body, her choice, right?
[–]thehillah3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I'm way out of the loop, but could you please kindly expkain to me what in the living hell is ''he for she'' and ''yes means yes''?
[–]NeadDiggerStorage 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
He for she is this pathetic hashtag that Emma Watson supported because it was felt that feminism doesn't have enough male supporters.
Yes means yes is the whole affirmative enthusiastic consent thing
[–]BachelorInc0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ahhh ya, your right. That's the part I forgot. That's where this entire "continued consent" notion came from. LOL so fucking ridiculous.
Thanks for that.

He For She -
it seeks to actively involve men and boys in a movement that was originally conceived as "a struggle for women by women".
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HeForShe
Basically, some teenage, multi-million dollar paid actress (FEMALE) spoke at the UN about female OPPRESSION and is, ONCE AGAIN asking MEN to do all of the work for women ...AKA - men need to support feminism.
Yes Means Yes -
the central theme of preventing rape by addressing the cultural and societal milieu that the authors say is complicit in enabling rape. Sexual consent, body image, self-esteem, and sexual violence are covered in the essays
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yes_Means_Yes
I dunno dooode...Try and make sense out of this convoluted tripe. I honestly don't have the patience requisite to read through all of the self-imposed nuances of this garbage, but the bottom line is that it's the result of the PROGRESSIVE LEFT muddying the waters and deluding any sense of objective truth, so much so that we have to redefine what "yes and no" mean w/respect to sexual consent.
Anyone feel free to correct me if I've missed some of the finer nuances of the garbage being produced by Feminism today. It all boils down to the " PROGRESSIVE " Left self-canabolizing as a result of diminishing any sense of objective truth. In much the same way that they promote conflicting/competing counter culture values such as railing against alleged " ISLAMOPHOBIA " and are pro " MUSLIM MIGRANTS " yet at one and the same time promoting women, gays, and trans gender rights. But the former hide zero lack of tolerance for the latter groups. The very countries they are migrating from openly abuse and kill said groups. Yet somehow the Western, White, Men making up the PATRIARCHY are the evil devils here... So, yeah - just more delusional " PROGRESSIVE " double speak/contradictory talk.

Mansplaining is bad, mkay? If you can't understand this ask a woman to explain it to you.
[–]Watchingcluturefade1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
While I completely agree with you, it has been interesting to listen to Jordan Peterson talk about Neo Marxism and to research how the Marxists themselves "died out" as it was pretty obvious that the Soviet Union was failing economically.
Before that, Liberals seemed much more reasonable and a lot of their ideals are worthy of debate. But in the last 30-40 years, they have just taken such a hard turn to the left and do nothing but shout people down and group them in some way in order to attack them personally. It sickens me ...
Maybe it's the Libertarian in me, but there are some moderate Liberals that I enjoy debating with. Not a lot, but some
[–]BachelorInc0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Ya, I don't lump Libertarian's into the above camp. Though, I don't think most people truly know what a Libertarian is.
[–]Watchingcluturefade0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Agreed and you have a good point. Most the "Liberas" I am talking about seem more Libertarian than anything else, they just are still so focused on the "National Dialogue" that is the MSM news and continue to parrot what they are told

Trump's election is the best thing to happen this century. The pure triggering it caused was legendary. They were about to get their feminist president but then a shit talking business man came in and crashed that shit. I swear Trump could turn anti gun and pro socialism tomorrow and leftists would all of a sudden be pro gun and pro capitalism, that's how far gone some of these people are.
Yeah he's married but I'll be voting for him again.

[–]Lastdevstanding24 points25 points26 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I didn't take it at liberal v conservative, I took it as ignorant women lecturing successful men.

I mean, it was kind of obvious it was about ignorant women. 1st paragraph of fucking up her life then a picture of a woman who looks like she's a know it all. But not everyone can have deductive reasoning like us it seems.

A liberal can't go his own way?
So, being liberal means pretending Trump didn't accomplish something remarkable with the peace process on the Korean peninsula? In that case I'm not a liberal (though I do call myself a classical liberal).
IMHO, Trump has been a great negotiator, both for the interests of the US as well as for the interests of the Korean peace. I don't see how anyone can deny this - but I see that many are denying it.

Well, I did not declare bankruptcy last year, do not buy lotto tickets, all my bills are current, I have no debt, no kids, and my SO has never been to jail or gotten a DUI.
Now, let me give you (an obvious Trump shill) an honest analysis of Trump's negotiations at the summit:
We gave them:
What we got:
So essentially we gave them everything they wanted and got nothing in return. The NK press is acting like Kim Jong Un outfoxed Trump and forced America to bow to NK's demands.
All of this kind of misses the mark, though. NK has wanted a meeting with past administrations also, but they have not been willing. Our position on NK prior to Trump was that NK is an illegitimate government, and meeting with Kim Jong Un gives NK legitimacy. We previously wanted a unified, capitalist Korea. We did not want the NK regime to stay in power. Trump massively shifted the goalposts here and by doing so devalued everything the US did in the Korean war.
[–]cobaltcolander0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The NK press is acting like Kim Jong Un outfoxed Trump and forced America to bow to NK's demands.
And you don't see why this is excellent for Trump's position?
This is a conversation I have had with a lot of people when it comes to abortion or black rights. You always see Leftists freak out about how "Men are making reproductive decisions!" or "White people are making black community decisions!"
Well if that is the case, why are so many people speaking on other subjects which they are obviously so unqualified to speak on.
