Hey guys. I need some advice. I started dating a woman very recently and in the very short period of time we have been together I have caught her out on several small lies. Nothing big. Small. However they were completely needless lies. There was no need for them at all.

In the first week of our relationship she got insanely angry that I passed the time of day with a woman. She just said hello and I couldn't just ignore her so I said hello back, we exchanged pleasantries and my girlfriend was there so there was nothing going on behind her back. That almost derailed the relationship right there.

Because of that she caused trouble for me. She basically turned people against me based upon her version of events, people I considered friends. I had people who know me laying into me for my bad conduct when it was her.

She is currently inundating me with messages about how much she loves me and can't live without me and that she's sorry she caused me to doubt and I just don't know to be honest. The small lies so early on in our relationship bother me. We all have skeletons in our closets. No one is perfect but generally in the early days, people tend to be on best behavior and already I am getting warning signs which in the past I have ignored.

What should I do? If I get out, how can I minimize the shitstorm she will create?
