Perhaps it is to mourn the feminization of society, and the propaganda encouraging men to be like women?

nah, i don't think he's saying to be alpha just not to have that haircut. i guess to each their own but yeah, there is some underlying masculinity that is lost. i wouldn't say i think men should be alpha, but yeah, i think they shouldn't be buying soy latte's and getting $100 haircuts either.

Funny thing about Lions.
Back in the 1970's, the women's lib crowd used them as a symbol of female oppression. The lioness, you see, does the hunting. The useless male just hogs the kill like some parasite.
That pissed me off, but ofc I just got on with my life.
Years later, I saw a video of three lionesses, backing up the branch of a fallen tree and surrounded by a pack of hyenas. The hyenas were eating the kill and threatening the lionesses.
All of a sudden there is this yellow blur from the edge and a single lion comes charging in, killing the first hyena instantly. He starts for the next and the hyenas scatter. None of them wish to die, and they know what a male lion can do!
So it took YEARS for me to find this evidence ... but again, feminists caught lying!
Anyway, your hilarious meme made me think of that!

Bodybuilding to look pretty is actually slightly gynocentric and disfunctional, imho.
Weight lifting for health, useful strength and so on is good, however. Humans evolved in a much more physical environment, not at desks.
