3rd season is all women doing incredibly stupid things. In fact, the two previous seasons did too.

Winona Rider singlehandedly manages to get people killed by being a fucking moron in every scene she's in. I remember Beetlejuice her playing a different character so I know she can act, so as far as being a fucking useless woman causing problems, she's nailing it.

The rest of the "girls" are all bossy and all the boys are upset they're chasing them and are mousey little bitches.

The formerly fat one is the only one that has any sort of game, and he gets rejected constantly for hooking up, but it's funny at least, they nail his rejections quite well. I particularly like the school dance scene where he's trying to hook up with a high test fashion mullet.

Third season they nail bitchy bossy ginger, that literally muscles her way into the male friend group with demands, and uses sex to manipulate them. Which is actually interesting to see when she and eleven are hanging out with their "fuck boys and their shit" mall visits.

Then they have ice cream girl who somehow becomes a russian code expert, and all the boys and fuckbois get their beat down.

I did enjoy the DM of their game throwing a tantrum because his retarded friends are busy trying to nail down the red head, which pretty accurately shows how a woman destroys men's groups, and eleven throwing a nope because she wants to...make out I guess....with pussy boy who was scared away by adoptive daddy (the chain smoker causing the current anti-smoking gay shit with netflix).

ST was one of the few shows with little to no sjw shit, at least the first season. Bummer.

Yep, I noticed the exact same thing, that black little sister was particularly obnoxious. I ended up skipping forwards most of the stupid crap, but overall it clearly wasn't up to par compared to 1&2.

Edit: the most obvious stuff is when that journalist girl is treated like shit by the all male board, it was pure feminist propaganda.

Yes, this new season is unwatchable, the show has been destroyed by SJW crap. What they did to Hopper is the worst. He used to be an awesome charcater, grumpy yet lovable. Now he is just an angry agressive yelling idiot. Every scene has been hogged by loud bossy females (Max is the worst) to show how stupid men are, to teach them a lesson. Steve used to be a douchebag in season 1, then is season 2 he was redeemed and became a great and selfless character. Now, he is shallow and stupid again - so the lesbian chick could shine. Jesus. And the whole other stuff is just plain bad, too. The show has lost its unique vibe, the fight scenes are like out of some bad action movie, evil Russian terminator... so ridiculous. Characters act illogical, everything is dull, boring and primitive, no tension, nothing and no one to care about. (Apologies for my English)

It was so blatant at times I was rolling my eyes. They also made Hopper a total one note caricature of stupid bumbling fool who solves problems by smashing things. He used to have some nuance.

And all the girl-power stuff they added was irritating as hell. And the nowadays mandatory quota lesbian and how the story handled it... ungh.

On the plus side: not sure if they intended it but they made all the female characters look like manipulative assholes who don’t really care about others, only about their own feelings or what the other party can provide them.

... which sounds about right from MGTOW perspective ;)

All the couples had the woman being the one who's right.

Mike lied to El only because of Hopper yet he's the one who's got to buy a gift and apologize.

Joyce stands Hopper up and apparently it would kill to take 2 seconds to say she's sorry before going on to explain herself.

Robin is this genius who makes Steve look like an idiot and never liked him in the end, even getting the video store job over him. And the reason she hated him is so stupid, he didn't even do anything to her, she blamed some girl not liking her on him and he had to apologize?

Jonathan loses his job over his stuck in a bubble girlfriend and they made sure she was right about everything so he would never doubt her again, as she'll be right about everything till the end of time.

Even that little scene between Nancy and her mom. Dad takes care of the family and makes a ton of money, mon thinks of fucking young lifeguard all the time, and yet Nancy Drew had the gall to say she got her combative persona from mom, not the "useless" dad.

And I say all that while being objective enough to recognize that the execs were wrong in their treatment of Nancy (even though still having bigoted male characters in the 80s is quite distasteful when men are being oppressed today, but nvm). That I wasn't being a misogynist, this was just misandrist as fuck.

It's what I call "toxic writing" when you can hurt and smear the male characters in your story for easy conflict and apparent amusement. Where the rule of thumb is that no female characters can be wrong or stupid and no successful middle aged man can have any ounce of righteousness. The original Tom could have been a decent person and the story wouldn't skip a beat, but they had to make him nearly as nasty as he was when he got flayed.
