I know posts like these appear just about every week but I sincerely wanted express my gratitude towards this sub and to many of you who have helped during a very difficult time that could have ended way worse. It may be long, but perhaps someone will read this and 'wake up' the way I did when I found this great community,

It goes like this.. ever since my teens, I've always been a long-term boyfriend. Didn't really understand the nature of some of the women I dated in my younger years but everything became quite polarized as I approached my late 20s.

I started dating a Russian-Serb (raised American) girl who was 5 years younger than me. Initially, I didn't want to, but she was persistent and I eventually caved-in. It helped that she was pretty, but now I know how foolish I was. At that time, I was 26, worked for one of the biggest tech corporations in the world and literally felt like everything was great up until I accidentally told my girlfriend what my salary was.

This is when everything started to change. She attempted to apply pressure on me saying idiotic shit like 'All good couples share their phone bil and their bank account(s). I brought this up to my father as a joke and he immediately got firm and told me to 'Fuck off with that nonsense, she is trying to turn you into a mule, don't fall for this overbearing and nagging shit. If she keeps this up, ignore her until she leaves on her own.'

Later on I learned that she was actually being heavily controlled and influenced by her own mother who had her eyes set on my family land, my father's business,....

Now, my ex-girlfriend was one of the more popular/attractive girls and no matter where she want, she had a lot of female enemies. Those female enemies spent years telling me all sorts of foul, awful and extremely disturbing crap about my ex-girlfriend's past but I had this idiotic belief that as long as I loved her, supported her, and respected her, she would return the same -- NOPE. I would bring up some of the shit her friends/enemies would say and she would turn extremely annoyed and play the good old 'Why don't you trust me?' card. -- So I trusted, (almost blindly) -- even when her old best friend told me that she actually slept with an older man when she was 16 then told him she was going to the cops unless he gave her $2500 to buy fucking shoes. I later learned that guy moved his ass and his entire family across the coast.

Fast forward few months into heavy travel with my employer, my girlfriend begins suffocating me beyond belief. No matter if I flew someplace in a different time-zone and zonked out due to lack of sleep, she didn't care, I would wake up with 10+ missed calls and aggressive texts:

"I know what men do when they travel, they cheat!" - "What slut are you talking to right now while ignoring me?"

Meanwhile, all I was doing was battling goddamn sleep deprivation and trying to adjust to new time-zone. if anybody was cheating, it was mostly women on my team trying to climb the corporate ladder all while plastering their desks with photos of their soft-husbands and children.

Frustrated, I decide to reach out to a really attractive friend of (mine) that my ex-girlfriend has befriended mainly because she was intimidated by someone who was hotter than her and thus, she feared she'd lose me to someone else. Let's call this friend 'Leyla'. Now, Leyla already had a boyfriend and her and I are just childhood buddies. She's very much a female-alpha and her and I knew we'd never ba good romantic match, so we opted to stay good friends watching each others backs when it comes to life in general.

Leyla tells me that my girlfriend cheated on me with her brother in-law's little brother who was barely 19 at the time. I start calling bullshit, as I always had, blindly defending my ex-girlfriend -- Leyla tells me to calm down since she has proof.

This is when my chest started fluttering as if had just somehow won the lottery or about to have a stroke.

Leyla busts out her phone to show me text conversations she had with my gf for past 6 months or so (around the time when she found out my salary was). Reading this chat-log was godamn nauseating as I had wasted months defending my ex-gf to whomever said anything foul about her. I threw up. Not because I was hurt, but because I spent absurd amount of time telling my gf that I'd never cheat on her -- only to find out that she's been cheating on me. C-U-N-T.

After initially fuming for an hour or so, I decide to egg my GF on by asking her to take a walk on the beach with me. I play it cool like nothing is wrong until the very end of the night when I flat out asked her if she fucked anyone behind my back. (All of this was happening while I had 'Reel Big Fish - Your Guts (I Hate Them) playing in the car on repeat - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8gCt_i0Oq4). She didn't even pay attention to the lyrics...

She immediately turns on her bitch-mode and starts with 'Here you are again, not trusting me' bullshit. Starts swearing on everything in her life that she would never, ever, cheat on me. I jokingly ask her to swear on her niece's life, and she does it without missing a beat! I pull out the screenshots from her chat-log with Leyla and she actually launched into 'that is not me, it must be hacked account or something' HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Oh man -- so I kick her outta my fucking car and tell her she's has no moral code, not just for cheating on me, but for throwing her 2 year old niece under the bus to cover up her own lies. I tell her that I hope she never has children of her own because honestly speaking, monsters should not reproduce.

2 years go by, I look her up on Facebook and see the usual type of guys hitting on her under the photo-comments, only this time my former GF seems to be WAY more desperate than ever. One guy tells her to 'Come by Cali for a visit' and she responds with 'Haha, sure, but only if you marry me and take my last-name as yours!' LOOOOOOOOOOOOL. I decide I'm not done getting her back, so I hit her up via LinkedIn just to ask how she was doing,

Not even 5 seconds later, she writes me an essay about how 'We were simply too young when we got together' and 'She is not the same person as she was then'. I play along, tell her we should meet up for a drink. 45 minutes into first bottle of wine, she starts showering me with 'You were so good to me, I'll never stop apologizing to you' 'No other guy ever treated me as good as you did, I'm so sorry, bla bla bla' -- Ya know, the usual shit people say when they realized the mistake they've made and wall they've hit.

She started to cry and somehow makes her way towards unzipping my pants. We start having sex in my car and afterwards, I drop her drunk ass home. Surprise surprise, the next morning she starts sending me texts 'Don't you wanna see the of love your life again?' I chuckle and ignore her. She spends about a week trying to get me to see her again and I always say no. I end up telling my old friend Leyla about how I had drunken sex with that ex-gf of mine and she goes 'Duuuuude, what? She's been dating some doctor guy for close to a year! She just cheated on him with YOU!'

At that moment, I had this hysterical and uncontrollable laughter that I wish I could recall on command. I text the very same girl with 'Hey, did you just once again cheat on your boyfriend?' and againnnnnn she starts crying! This time she launches a similar, but predictable cry 'Yes I cheated on him simply because I am still in love you and I never thought I would actually see you again!'

Huh? WTF?

Jesus tittie tap-dancing Christ, Abraham and Mohammad and all the others! That girl is going to get some sucker to knock her up and ruin his godamn life.

No matter how old you are -- Please PROTECT YOURSELF, YOUR MONEY, and your overall MENTAL HEALTH. Some of these women are so aggressive and abusive with their bullshit lies and shaming tactics that they would throw their own blood and family under the bus if that means getting what they want. AWALT is mostly true, so be very very, careful and GYOW.

TL;DR - Typical story of a guy who blindly trusted a girl who has closet full of lies and tricks up her sleeve among many skeletons. I learned how awful some of them can be, even if their face looks warm and inviting. You know those girls who look like they wouldn't hurt a fly? Yeah, they raise havoc.
