It's because the male has the capacity to build better societies, and adapt to them; while the female rejects those societies and all the good they provide her. There's a biological reason there.

The other part is that men are motivated by making lives better for women. By the time they had created those better societies, they are more focused on pleasing the female, which (ironically) is tearing the very structure down with her indulgence.
