I've encountered people who legitimately equate 'can't get (whatever) for free' with 'GOVERNMENT TAKING AWAY MY ACCESS TO (whatever)'.

These people are beyond help.

These strong independent millennial woman are outearning men but somehow can't afford health insurance/BC. Pretty sure places like Hobby Lobby don't offer free medical to a large portion of their employees

I cringe at media so I don't know what's going on . . . is Trump really going to roll back the birth control mandate? Because I would love to see that.

I don't think the cost argument really has much merit to it. The cost of birth control is a drop in the bucket compared to things like obesity, heart attacks, and pregnancies, all of which probably vary in incidence between the genders.

Personally I think that the government ought to be making birth control as free as possible across the board, because it HAS to be saving taxpayers money. That 25 cent condom or pill that we're complaining about here potentially saves the taxpayers from raising some kid born from an unwanted pregnancy, or the cost of an abortion. It isn't just the cost of the childbirth itself, but then all the public schooling. Now consider the typical person who would actually not use birth control because of the cost of the pills/etc: do you think they would make a good parent? If not, then go ahead and add in the costs of prison, vandalism, and whatever other problems their kids end up causing.

If we offered free sterilization to anybody who wanted it chances are it would be a net savings to the taxpayer.

How are you guys equating this to the government handing out free birth control? Maybe I am misunderstanding something, but doesn't the birth control mandate just force insurance companies to provide birth control on their insurance policies?

Why are you guys so upset that women can get birth control through their insurance? Is it simply because men don't get some kind of equal compensation("If I can't have it, no one can!!")?
