Men are romantics. It is in our nature to seek adventure, to appreciate life, beauty, and share what we discover. Men have always been the main providers, caregivers, and creators. And we are always the ones to believe in the virtues of faithfulness, honor, and camaraderie. We open our hearts, and embrace love, passion, and tenderness, only wishing for the same in return.

Woman are mercenary. Their loyalties are temporary, they seek only that which benefits themselves, and should a richer prospect appear, their fickle hearts will lead them off, with nary a care of the ones they tear to shreds. They are beholden to no virtue, no honor, and have disdain for wisdom with nothing but greed to replace it. They could have love if they truly wished. But they are always concerned with missing out on something "better", they never appreciate what they have. It is pitiable.

I've found that when I've been in relationships I've projected myself and my own good qualities onto my partner. I basically was deluding myself into thinking they were like me. They were not like me. I've had a rough life and I know that the things you say and do to people stick with them forever. I'm very careful to not say things in anger that I'll regret later... My partners have not been like this and have said terribly spiteful, mean, and downright cruel things to me. It's like they don't think I'm a person or something. I guess I'm not really. Just a utility. I've never had anyone put in as much effort as myself into a relationship.

It is heartbreaking. To me, having a family would be wonderful. (I don't have one currently. No relatives/family in the picture at all.) I watch family dramas on TV sometimes and wish it were my life. I'm a very sensitive person. I can't put myself through these modern relationships anymore. People are just so heartless it seems these days.

Ultimately I won't be having more relationships with women. I have to protect myself from them. I wish it weren't the case, but I've been burned enough already, and managed to not be financially ruined by it... I can't imagine adding that ontop of the emotional abuse. I must say that being alone is very relaxing compared to being in a bad relationship. My guts aren't all twisted up all the time anymore.

Men can love and do romance and women can't or simply don't want to express these traits. That's why almost all the good romance movies that don't promote hypergamy and sexual independence are written and directed by men. All the good romance literature, songs, films are all written by men. Women tend to express hypergamy, hamstering, feminism (also known as men blaming), sexual independence through the same mediums. This does not mean women can't write good romance literature, but the most popular ones written by women are rarely about boy meets girl happy ending type stories. Women also tend to avoid these type of stories anyway because of reasons.

The world has beauty but you have to search for it, but I think you are correct Romance does not exist except in our minds, but then beauty only exists in our minds also, everything we see, hear etc.. is just a construction of your brain, this is why being positive is important, it literally changes what you see in the world around you. Knowing this however means you can use it to your advantage and learn to control your thoughts which will help improve your world.

Nihilishm is such a useless worldview, in my opinion. Beauty doesn't exist as an objective thing, period. It is an irrational, and emotional reaction based on evolutionary pressures.

Depression is also an irrational and emotional reaction based on evolutionary pressures. And luckily, it is one that can be replaced with more pleasant emotional states. In order to do so, however, you have to be willing to let go of your old value system and adopt a new one.

Romance doesn't exist. Okay, go ahead and mourn it... but don't yourself stuck in that stage. Re-adjust to reality and find something else to make you happy. For instance, true friendship does exist between men, if you find the right one.

So you could satisfy your sexual desires with VR porn and then satisfy your desire for social companionship by finding a good male friend.
