Reeves reminds me of actor John Corbin, another totally down to earth actor. I was on a late night shoot, and it was “lunchtime”. Corbin came over to where the effects guys and grips are hanging out (sitting on boxes, brown bagging it), pulls out HIS brown bag “Hey, howzit going? May I join you?” Utterly unassuming, like the helpful Home Depot guy. Finally someone asked half jokingly about sitting with us (“Dude, this really rare...”) and Corbin said, “No man, you guys are the really cool ones because you literally MAKE the show; I just stand on a mark and recite what they tell me.” Then he thanked us. Instant respect.

I read where Reeves was at a theater to see a film years ago, and the young ticket taker recognized him and started to ask for his autograph but chickened out. Sending this, Reeves went over to the concession stand, bought an ice cream, asked for the receipt, signed the back, and handed it to the ticket taker...then tossed the ice cream.

Remember when Reeves was on the flight that got stuck in Bakersfield late last year, so they all packed into an LA-bound shuttle van with Reeves in the back? Then he started reading aloud from a phone and telling stories to the group during the boring drive?

Not just MGTOW, but an “everyman’s” MGTOW. Remember, he lost a daughter to a stillborn birth, then his GF (daughter’s mother) died not long afterward in a car crash so the dude knows real life loss. “Ok, maybe I’m meant to go it alone...but I’m still going to be a good man, doing the right things.”
