What's funny is that I first heard of the "manosphere" about 6 years ago. Some article featuring Roosh was going off on now manosphere sites work and how these men were oh so horrible and mean and sexist. And as I did my research, I was actually disappointed. Mostly because it was just guys venting off about women. Like men have always done, except online and not in a pub or in someone's den.

And as far as angry incels go, we definitely condemn any acts of violence. If you're angry about not getting laid, that's no excuse to go out on a rampage. Simple as that.

Of course, you pick the keywords used by any group of people and run the analysis on their comments and viola! Those keywords show up more often there. You then label them as toxic and now suddenly the community is toxic.

Basically shows just how dumb AIs happen to be in judging the scope of metaphor within casual conversation. But instead of checking against material they're casually going with it and painting out a boogey-man because that makes a better story than saying the software they worked on is defective.

Perhaps those are people that don't get why the NPC meme is a thing because there are people with a context filter that is as bad if not worse than that of an AI?
