I hate to sound like a religious nut or anything like that cause it isn't true. I am a believer and firm in my faith but I really do think this is spot on. Something happened , maybe as far back as 9/11/01 or to around 2008ish where the world has become fundamentally evil and has gotten worse with a quickening. Today what's good is bad and bad is good. You are right, i do think its an age thing. My perspective is you are 24, born about 1994. So by this time the change is well underway or before you were 10, it was really picking up. As you aged through teens into adulthood you are assimilated with this as the norm. I am 44 however. I know a time where it is opposite day of today. It was never like this and on such scale and breadth. I do think as you get older or burned more often you see things that you didn't previously notice. However I believe there is something fundamentally different going on as of the last 15 or so years. It is not just woman either, there are a million things that are not the same as they used to be. Just my 2 cents. Neither of us is wrong or right, but it also isn't the same as it used to be. The General Consensus seems to be being bad is good and being good is bad, imo. Cheers!

I've noticed it too. I was in america for a short trip pre 9/11 and had a great time, everyone was polite and though there was poverty and sickness everywhere everyone had a cheerful chin up attitude. A few years later when the property bubble burst I was carrying kilos of hurt and suspicion, and american friends I interacted with on the internet were rude and hostile.

Because when the bubble burst, we adopted the view that "nobody is entitled to ____" and man up whenever men needed support for something.
This made the opposite true, the man isn't entitled to give anything to anyone or anything either.
So men started to become incredibly selfish.
Women on the other hand, were incredibly spoiled since the late 80s and the most spoiled group of girls started to hit adulthood in the late 2000s.

Same here, I could never be 'one of them' either. I am now starting to learn to hold my tongue though. I used to think if it's true, why do i have to not say it, but it sometimes just isn't worth it anymore and falls on deaf ears. Now i'm more apt to just smile and hold back and let it go. Not worth wasting the energy on in some instances.
