Holy shit is this correct. I was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery three years ago and my only family member in the same city is my mom. She knew I was in the hospital and not only didn't show up but made no effort to even contact me for days. So much for that "maternal instinct." Fucking bitch.

Sad but true, at least in their minds...

I found that out the hard way when disclosing my health problem (which doesn't really impact my ability to date and live a normal life) to dates.

One second they were all over me, the next they were running away... One even had the nerve to go "but can you ? You know... Keep it up...?" which showed complete lack of tact and complete lack of medical knowledge... She was ghosted soon after.

I understand them not wanting damaged goods. I wouldn't either but at least stay classy... I kept it classy when exs 1, 3 and 7 disclosed their cutting habits. I kept it classy when ex 9 disclosed her multiple sclerosis, when 10 disclosed her real age and so on and so forth.
