Thats kind of strong and not meme-worthy unless you are a masochist who stops the evolving part.

Oh and next time make sure to avoid answering phone calls from whores when starting off, its a PITA to reset the game if you pick the wrong one.

As for starting off, Bulbasaur is good to rip through the first two gyms + can clutch 3rd gym since electric isnt effective.

By the time you have to worry about gym 4, you can grab a flame/flyslave pokemon by that point.

Charmander is a classic choice but the guaranteed crit from razor leaf is always tempting. I used to use charmander but I've used bulbasaur the last few times I played the games.
