Software Developer here. I'm in a team of around 10. I'd say i'm around mid level, so I earn a wage that reflects my experience, skillset, and how much money I make for the company (return on investment).

There are Developers with years less experience than me, and even though we do the same job they earn 5k less than me.

Then there are Developers with more experience than me, and take on more complicated projects. Because of this they are paid more than me.

The Developers who earn less than me don't complain about it, they understand how simple economics works. And I don't complain about the Developers who earn more than me, they deserve it and worked hard to get to that high skill level.

Only problem is the 1 Developer who is female, spends most of her working day tapping away on her mobile phone (I kid you not) and bitches about everything, including the pay.

More power to them. They should receive compensation in millions of dollars. This should inspire women in other tech companies to sue the companies that they work for and receive compensation. And all this should happen fast and real quick.

It would be fun to watch the fall out. It would be a lot more fun to watch companies hesitating to hire them.

These PC/SJW will typically be stuck at no higher than mid-level positions because they will never take responsibility for anything and taking extreme responsibility is the type of trait needed for high paying prestigious positions. Meeting affirmative action and gender quotas will get people in the door but being a hard worker with the right attitude is what gets you promoted. Equal opportunity does not mean equal outcome.

The corporate fairy tale only works when there is at least a semblance of meritocracy. We are witnessing the demise of good faith on the back of ever growing entitlement.

Look, what once was cool becomes uncool. This always happens the same way. A bunch of creative people do great things, and that attracts people who think they can be as good merely by association. This happens to companies, social groups, and even cities. What was on top is now at the bottom. I knew as soon as everyone wanted to drink at the golden trough of software engineering the golden age's days were already numbered.

The secret to doing something awesome is partly "keep it secret as long as possible". This isn't just about your favorite surf spot.

Didn't they just fire a guy for writing a memo that said "men and women are biologically different, just use your eyes and see." Google really backed themselves in a corner by agreeing with the liberal agenda. A company is a non-entity and all CEOs should make a point in declining any political stance outside of what's necessary.

Because Google has sided with the left agenda they are now fighting a two front PC war. The left often cannabalises it's other factions. Now Google has to appeal to lefts and rights if they want to maintain their market share.

If you're a tech giant and someone asks you about the wage gap or gender discrimination your response is " We don't know anything about that, we just make tech. But if the allocation is against my business, we will look into it and deal with it accordingly."
