That's a pretty loaded and vague statement. It should read like this: "Judges go 'easier' on women because throwing them in jail would put the kids in an orphanage and no one wants that. You might ask, well, if dad was in the picture (ie: wan't such a deadbeat that abandoned the family) they could be sent to prison. But in reality, that's probably why the woman ran the man off in the first place. As long as those kids have to depend entirely on her, then she's relatively 'safe' in regards to going to prison because it would destroy the children"

CAGE GAP!!! True prison reform and social-conditioning is needed for women ...

Solomonic solution (aka "split the baby"):

Build special cells with extra amenities in the female prison, with bars spaced 31cm (1ft.) apart (Enough to squeeze through if she's not fat). Post warnings about "not attempting to escape" so she is fully aware of consequences.
Allow conjugal visits for the woman, if she chooses. Also allow full access to contraceptives so she may choose how to control her own body and her own choices ... her contraceptive use is closely monitored.
If she becomes pregnant b/c she is trying to trap Betabux, offer the following-- expedited parole hearing for giving birth, or a late-stage abortion.
If she decides to give birth in order to escape between the bars, her baby will be given custody to the man and she must pay child-support. She is re-incarcerated for the escape attempt with extended sentence.
If she decides to abort, she is charged with intent to commit homicide (late-stage abortion is illegal).
If she decides to stay in her cell indefinitely after giving birth to the baby, she is charged with defrauding the man and govt. welfare to falsely-secure benefits.
Allow her moral choices to be reflected in the parole-board hearings. No parole for recent violations.

**Note that every punishment listed above is (by analogy) exactly what men go through in the current Family Court system: female sexual coercion of males, child-custody stripped, legal presumption of domestic abuse by the man (not the woman), fraud and marital dissipation of assets, 18 years of court-ordered debtor's prison.

As a logical thinking man I begin to analyze ways to stop this inequity.

Personally, as troubling as it would be, I think we should have groups of men sit in the courts where any woman is on trial, and if the judge does not give the woman a sentence that is comparable to a man then we should recall the judge. We're there to judge the judge.

When judges start seeing their jobs go away, they will conform.

As much as it is difficult, it is in societies best interest because women will realize that they are going to pay the piper, hard!

It is only logical and ration thought, or consequences, that keep people from going overboard.
