Playing women with TRP seems like an awesome way to balance the books and be irresistible to them. When you keep reading and see the downsides, time and effort involved and the more MGTOW points to watch out for... It's easier to skip the effort and just stay away.

A large part of me believes none of this actually happened and this guy is roleplaying gym bro for internet points. Like, he describes things in a way that he seems like he has to envision it. "I'm at the gym while she texted me..." The whole story has phrasing like that. Like he's just a bad story writer. "I put on my robe and wizard hat." type of shit. This reminds me vividly of how I used to fantasize about women when I was a child. Maybe he honestly is just a meat head?

The entire premise of TRP'ers was to reshape yourself (with massive effort & expenditure of time, money, resources) into the "perfect flesh dildo" for "high SMV women" (aka bar sluts) to use & discard. If you're successful at pulling this off, then you get to ~~brag about it in the junior high school locker room~~ write a"field report" and get it upvoted in /r/TheRedPill. If you suck at it, well you can still write the field report, you just have to embellish it with a lot of bovine excrement.

Wtf? All this effort that he put. Buying a stupid book to play games, pay for the dinner,all this overanalyzing for what? When i was reading and using TRP (2-3 years ago) i would just meet them for coffee somewhere close to THEIR place and then just go there with them to smash. All this effort and overanalyzing for so little in retturn lel.

If you're a stereotypical underachiever, and can discern the wheat from the chaff, TRP can be a useful source of information. The problem is that, over the years, the real quality contributors have been whittled away. In their place are a load of college kids looking for conquests, and somewhere to brag about them. Even before, their revolutionary advice for becoming an alpha wasn't exactly rocket science. It can be diluted to 3 things:

improve your body
improve your social skills
love yourself

If you're an MGTOW who still desires sexual relations with women, that's really all you need; decent appearance (body), game (social skills), inner game (love yourself). TRP likes to micro-analyse the minutiae of sexual success, but those 3 are the things that will win you favour regardless.
