Almost nobody cares. When I got divorced four years ago just about everyone I knew instantly forgot I existed. 99% of my "friends" just mentally threw me on the bonfire and went about their lives (or started actively shit-talking me without evidence.) Three of them didn't.

You find out who your real friends are pretty fast in this situation, so ditch the chaff and keep the few people who really care.
