Being MGTOW for most men usually means no marriage ever but there are some who may be inclined to get married if the woman is a unicorn. I do not want to debate if a unicorn exists or not but I want to put forth a strategy that may be the only way to tell if you have a unicorn interested in you.

I am an Elvis fan and was recently watching his "classic" movie "Clambake". If you are not an Elvis fan I don't think you would be able to sit through this movie but that is beside the point. In the movie, Elvis is the son of a rich Oil Tycoon and is loaded with cash driving a nice red sports car. The plot is a "Prince and the Pauper" type situation where Presley trades places with a broke guy and wants to make it on his own.

So, Elvis as a water ski instructor meets a hot young lady, she seems interested but she is more interested in the rich boat race champion played by Bill Bixby. So in the end the hot young lady gives up the arrogant rich guy and goes for Presley even though he is broke, or so she thought when she shits herself when she finds out he is rich and they drive off into the sunset, happily ever after.

A fairy tale no doubt but it got me to thinking that if a unicorn does actually exist the only real way to tell for sure is to pose as a broke dude to make sure she likes you for yourself and NOT your money. Hiding your assets seems like a good strategy anyway just to avoid scam artists.

Another interesting thing about the Elvis Movie "Clambake" is that this was Elvis' last movie as a single man, after this movie he was to become married to Priscilla. Its funny, this is his only movie where he almost pouts and plays a Beta while mooning over the hot girl in the movie. Its hard for me to watch but many say he really didn't want to get married he was kind of forced into it.

One could argue that Priscilla kind of ruined his life because after his divorce in 1973 he went straight downhill.

A line from one of the songs in "Clambake" goes like this:

"Better just a shack, where two people care, than a house that has everything, everything but love"

My version goes:

"Better just a shack, where a man lives by himself, than a house that has everything with a nagging wife"

Proverbs 21:9 Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.
