You're saying we are controlled by others. That's nonsense in my book and if you have that attribute you need to slap yourself around a bit. The goal in life is internal happiness. You want to put yourself in a position where your happiness is not determined by others. It's internal and you own it 100%.

I'm an old guy and am trying to learn the guitar but it's tough because the hands just don't operate like when I was young. Anyway, I was at my guitar lesson early and started my shitty rendition of Sweet Child O'Mine and the instructor comes in and says "Oh, Sweet Child O'Mine eh.". Proudest moment of my guitar life. Someone actually recognised a song that I played on the guitar. Now that's happiness.

A few days ago I had got a thought that helped me. Why should I do stuff? To simply satisfy my curiosity.

I'm curious what I am capable of as human being. I'm curious if I can manage to land some management position. I'm curious if I find out how finance market works or if maybe finance market is just a hazard based on humans feelings. I am curious why medicine pills works. I am curious if I can lose my weight and be in shape again before I die. I am curios of what my mind is made of.

And you? Are you not curious about anything? No thoughts why you have shitty mood? Or why so many people in society dont care about true love not existing? Are you not curious how it works that you hit your keys on the keyboard/smartphone and it appears on monitor? Are you not curious why you/me/most of society were/was/is simps for years? Are you not curious about how the camera takes the photos? Are you not curious how a photo is printed?

We are men so biology equipped us with rational minds and curiosity., so why don't pursue exactly that what our rational mind says to pursue? The world is what it is, shit happens and it's inevitable, plus we can die any second, so what better idea do you got than pursuing that what your mind tells you it is curious?

Tl;dr: Why do things? To satisfy your mind curiosity.

I learn stuff because I want to better myself. There is nothing more rewarding than knowing how to do something properly, imo. If you're doing things for the appreciation of others, you have a large problem of perspective.

The 2020s will be a banging decade. It’s not a bad thing to work for the appeal of women and not get involved with their bullshit. As a kid i used to work-out all the time because i loved it, but when the pain started kicking on the last few reps i used pussy as a motivator. Being the best you can be in life will open as many different doors as women’s legs.

You have no long term goals. You probably worked this far because you were told that hard work would give you a happy life. A good wife, a family. But you probably realised what women became, and that they wouldn't give you kindness, support or happiness. My advice is: all the love you would give to a woman, all the sacrifices, all the expenses... Give yourself. Would you drive 15 miles for a woman? Then drive 15 miles for something you like. Would you cook something nice for a woman? Cook something nice for yourself. All the sacrifices and all the effort you would give to a woman, give to someone that deserves. Give to someone who will thank you. Give to family, friends, pets, children if you choose to adopt or have children already. More importantly, give to yourself. Because you'll thank yourself later.

I'm unmotivated lately myself. After my daughter flew down here and we goofed off for a long weekend it hits me how drab and dreary my life is.

Regardless, I gotta stick with stuff, and this too shall pass. So I'll be heading to the gym at 11pm to work thru it.
