Very true.

People major in worthless shit; tack on huge debt and expect life to somehow workout. Piss poor planning yields piss poor results.

I was very lucky to attend university back in the late 90s to early 2000s; until the costs went vertical. I lived at home which dropped the cost further.

Working FT and scholarships helped. I paid off all my student debt in 1 year (medical school debt).

I was MGTOW (without knowing it) until the age of 27 when I had my first serious relationship. I am now almost 40 and have been MGTOW for almost 5 years.

I still date and fuck women - but I know they are temporary distractions.

So many people think that a degree is a meal ticket too, as if they can just jump through the hoops and expect employers to love them. They don't cultivate their own skill sets and expect to be spoon-fed.

It depends on your nationality with this. If you are from Europe and get cheap or affordable degrees it may be worth it still. I did a lighter degree (law and politics) and it landed me a teaching job: I may do a masters at some point and head into law eventually.

I understand why people say this but I think it's criminal predation on young people and an obvious scam perpetrated by degree mills whose quals have no worth, upon kidults who have next to no way of knowing this before taking on student loan debt.

Requiring universities to publish statistics for in-field employment post graduation would make this less of a social cancer. I still don't really expect women to make good decisions though, because they fundamentally lack any agency.

Also society is just about too fucked for this to make much of a difference either way.

And, if you're a young MGTOW guy reading this, you're probably better off in the trades than in university, which becomes increasingly scammy each year.

Haha, I've seen this so often.

The most common one is the beauty college degree. There are private beauty colleges which charge around 30-50,000 for a made up diploma in fake tan spraying and skin care. Fucking lol. I was involved with one of these losers for a while. Every single one of the graduates of this place was a mid-20s Thot and every single one was not working in anything related to the course they went on after 'graduating' they were working in clothes shops, waiting tables etc., For minimum wage and had this huge debt to deal with. They were sold the dream of this shit on Instagram, and without exception it has come to nothing. Hilariously pathetic.

There are a lot of useless degrees and then there are a lot of degrees that are useless without pairing them with another degree. Pair a theatre degree with one centered around CAD and you'll be able to get a job blueprinting theatre layouts, design, and construction. These days you can pair any number of useless degrees with a marketing one and get a comfy company job at Gillette.
