Stigma.

90% of the population flops down in front of the TV or binge watches shows on netflix for 10 hrs straight and nobody says a word. Most of these bitches play candy crush or farmville anyway but that doesn't count right? I don't play a lot of games but I know hypocrisy when I see it.

It's because people don't have the insight or perspective to understand what is happening. I'm 36 and I game a lot; have for nearly 30 years now. Games provide a way to activate dormant male brain pathways and reward structures. In the "caveman" days we had struggles, battles, trials and tribulations; risks and rewards. Now we have little of that and it doesn't sit well with us. Video games resonate because they simulate trials and tribulations. Struggles for survival. Life and death. Risks, rewards. Also they often contain the types of tales that used to be passed down via fireside myths: hero archetypes and whatnot.

The way it should be looked at is with sadness not scoffing. We've lost our way as a species.

I think the obsession over watching professional sports that people can't even play is pathetic. Especially when they have all sorts of helpful insight on what players and coaches should be doing, yet still work at a fucking paint store.

However, it's their time to spend how they want, and I don't go around saying they should stop.

So let's address it then. What exactly do you find more worthwhile? How does it not fit the MGTOW/Rep Pill mindset? What do you find less cringeworthy?

And let's be honest here, watching drama shows or crap like that or even sports shows is the same. The only difference is social acceptance. It's okay to watch sports and fill your house with sports related material because it's expected and women don't frown on you for it.

Well if you enjoy it, and it makes you happy, and it doesn’t necessarily harm anyone then no issues really with me.

Sure there are better things than video games (like programming your own) but if that’s your favorite pastime so be it.

Just don’t become a screen addict and watch you’re health deteriorate because you just have to beat Final Fantasy XXX or whatever. Take care of yourself is all I’m saying.

If some people want to dedicate their whole life on videogames, books and other nerdy things. Let them do so. Its not my problem. Hopefully they just dont totally forget to exercise/move themselves now and then. So they dont slowly destroy their own bodies: having painful back and some other body issues before they reach the age of 40-50 years. Because that's what often happens to those nerds who almost never exercise themselves.

Playing video games is a lot cheaper than most other activities so it's a good way of saving money while still having fun. A $30 game can get you 100+ hours of play time if it's a JRPG like a game in the Persona series. Some people play multiplayer games into the hundreds of hours. Try comparing that bargain to anything else that people do for entertainment and it's a steal at that price. A good way to save a lot of money and build wealth is by not spending it on expensive forms of entertainment. Gaming is one of the cheapest forms of entertainment in existance. I don't see anything wrong with it, just don't let your collection of unplayed games grow too large as you don't save money when you buy games you'll never play....
