Went backpacking with a buddy this weekend. Wrote this.

Here we sit, looking out and down in every direction. The world is beneath us, The heavens above us.

Here there are only a few things. The Earth, The Stars, The Wind, a small puddle of water, and two men.

No women accompany our powwow of man and earth.
The Earth did not invite us here, yet it rewards us with beauty and serenity. Indeed, the further we climb out of feminine reach, the more we are at peace.

Wind and Earth can be merciless killers, yet MEN strive ever higher ever deeper into peace.
