Their retort is that TRP is specifically a sexual strategy. So, there is no reason to bother with a sexual strategy unless you are trying to get laid. And their strategy is kind of a paradox. Don't make women your mission and self improve, but also learn to interact with them and you'll get the side benefit of vagina (if you want to get laid then don't make getting laid a priority). The more understanding of them are not much different from the mgtow here that aren't monks and still take easy lays. Some of TRP diverges because they think good LTRs and even marriage is possible. That is not very compatible with a mgtow view. Also, it is obvious that trp often delves into much more than obvious sexual strategy.

I say do what you want. It is a value judgement thing. Many mgtows don't rate pussy as high and don't rate being alone as negatively, even if much of trp and mgtow agree on the mechanics involved and female nature.

Mgtow diverges from trp and is closer to what was on the incel sub when it comes to looks. Mgtow, like myself, realize that looks are by far the most important thing for attraction (incels realize this as well). Many trp guys have the story of the seeming chad that couldn't get laid, but that is the exception that proves the rule. If you are attractive enough, then women approach you (or at least give you strong IOIs from afar or have their friends tell you that they like you) and make it easy to get in their pants. You literally have to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Also, trp is full of endorsed big deal guys. And the vibe makes it odd to openly disagree with them, and so it seems few do it.

TRP was corrupted by commercialization and now have a bottom line to worry about.

They're also very big in the PUA culture which itself is very toxic. My advice is to stick to MGTOW and be picky about who you hang out with.
