Well, in the context of abortion, the main counter argument (from the position of one who opposes abortion) would be that the woman is making a decision about someone else’s life, not only her own. Additionally, the baby is a product of the father and mother, meaning that they should theoretically share 50% of the responsibility, and thus, the father should have a 50% stake in deciding what to do with the pregnancy.

Keep in mind, this argument relies on viewing the unborn fetus as human life, and the outcome will likely be you coming to an impasse (they think it isn’t life yet, just the potential for it) and the argument will be impossible to win.

It’s perhaps more important to note that anyone who makes this argument against you is completely irrational to begin with and is not worth debating, as there’s no way to win. By their own flawed logic, women should have separate representatives from men’s in government, and where does that stop? Do individual age groups get their own representatives? Do different races get their own? Different sexualities? The mentally disabled? It’s simply not worth debating with people who hold this viewpoint, as there’s no way they’ll ever change their mind.

My favorite is: if she can choose to not be a parent without asking how I feel about it, then I should be able to do the same. Since the law doesn't allow me that freedom, it shouldn't allow it to her, either.

Simple, to the point, and skirts around pesky issues about whether or not abortion is in fact murder.

The answer to this boils down to "because she can." But at this point one has to realize that all bets are off regarding rights to your own body: if someone stronger than yourself comes along then they own your body, only restrained by their own ethics. And since you did not defend the right to body ownership of the weaker you have no ethical highground left to defend your own body ownership once exposed to someone stronger.

It’s simple. The baby inside is not her body. It’s another genetically unique human, maybe even a different gender, a product of two people including the father, which after a certain period in the womb is viable. The entire question comes down to the opinion of when it has rights. Some say not until it leaves the uterus and it is not a crime to kill it before it leaves. Some say it has a right to live it’s life, for example, once it has a heart beat, etc. Further complicated by religion.

They don't seem to have a problem with the all male supreme court that ruled on RvW in /73.
This arguemnt is a straw man when it comes to abortion anway. I don't personally care abut what a woman does with her body, but the unborn living human in her is NOT her body. It has it's own body with it's own distinct DNA and has commited not crime and done no wrong.
