Been on this page for a while. I am 43, single (obv) but only recently. I have two teens and I am madly in love with a woman who I was once engaged to over a year ago. We had an off and on again relationship not too long ago and now, she has pretty much ghosted me. Knowing how I feel and all. What really broke us up? Her unsure future knowing that I don't have financial security.

Backstory - I have a daughter with autism. Mother abandoned the kids and me early into the marriage and left me with exclusive care for both kids. I am a chef and this doesn't make a lot of money but it is my passion and gift. I have recently started my own custom catering business and meal service that right now is a struggle but I do what I can all alone with it.

Now she has told me before that she needs to be single. Find her strength and be a great mom to her two little ones and I was always supportive in adult conversation and would still find a little time to go out and enjoy some adult time.

Well, no she has pretty much jumped into another relationship (2nd since leaving - the first was by a con man that took her for thousands by scamming her) and now this new guy has already lied to her to keep her with him and she is believing him although I have already proven it to be a lie. (I guess money trumps love)

Here is the problem, I still love her. I may pass but what do I do know? I am too old to find love again. Took me 40 years to find her. She truly loved me for a time.

But I am also too broke in life to have enjoyed being single. Enjoy my manhood and feel freedom. I work 7 days a week. In my kitchen or at home. My daughter is now 18 and can not live on her own. I only just discovered she had qualified for disability benifits that will take maybe a year to now be approved for retro pay.

I am lost and feel sick that I have lead my life to this. Any advice?
