After my ex of 7 years and I got engaged....and she decided to get pregnant to another man. That's when I truly left the plantation. Haven't looked back since. That was 2017. 3 years ago now.

It took a few years after discovering MGTOW to set in. As the years go by and I watch my friends get married and start families it becomes clearer and clearer just how much of a drag women are on men's freedom, finances and souls.

Whenever I see a pretty woman with her man now I know two things:

She's a narcissist who's making his life hell in a million little ways every day.
He's thirsty and weak enough to put up with it.

Once you see how women flirt around casually and give you "the look" even though they've been married for years, that's when you're glad you're NOT the guy who's with them.

The idea of committing to women like this is sadomasochism. I'm sure there are well behaved women out there but our culture promotes adultery like its glamorous instead of the horrible sin it is.

I changed when my ex who I was with for 13 years left with my daughter to go "find herself" in another mans house.

That left me feeling a slight cool sensation in my chest for 2 years .

i never was a guy who looked at a couple and envied the man. because i took trp very early, 16-17 and before that i never even looked at girls with "that" sight. i considered them as friends and there was literally no difference between my male friends and female ones ( i still think good of my female childhood friends but reality must be accepted ).

bur as soon as i got into bigger things, college, career, economics of education and stuff, laws, system, i saw an absurdity : a double standard and blatant discrimination based solely on sex/gender. that pushed me to research this and i encountered trp. took it and i am immune to any emotional damage from females for life. good deal.

It's a good question, OP, and I'm going to be interested to continue reading people's answers.

For me, there was no single event. I struggled for a good 6 years to figure out women. Starting off as a socially awkward programmer didn't help. :) Eventually I got the success I had craved... however every time I spent more than a few weeks around a chick I thought was great, I invariably felt boxed in. Women have a way of making you do shit you don't want to do: all those silly social events, shopping, the inanity of her recounting her day's events at work. I tried it over and over again with many different women, over the course of a half decade.

I eventually eased off my pursuit of women... and I found myself no happier, but at least I was without the old cravings for their company, and I had my freedom. So I had gone MGTOW without even knowing it. I had no friends with this perspective that I could talk with about it... and I spent some years pondering over my experiences before I finally heard about MGTOW on a podcast. It was a happy time to find myself with other like-minded men. :)

I had found "the one" and she broke up with me at work on a event night and then walked to one of my friends and fucked him on the spot. Shit crushed me. Then she was passed around like a joint at a dead show and in about 2013 found the red pill. Big part of my sobriety was redpill/MGTOW. Thank you guys.

Dated a girl for 6 months, for 5 months she was the best gf Ive ever had, I thought to myself holy shit I found myself a unicorn. Then month 6 came around and her entire personality changed 180 degrees. After 2 weeks of putting up with bullshit from her I ended things.

Realized women are all the same, some are just better at being chameleons.

When I was 21. Had been burned a few times. I dont mind a little arm candy when I'm out, but I'd rather be by myself doing what I want without nagging hoes. Fortunately for me, the women I "entertain" are aware that they will never be more than eye candy and fight hard to change my mind. I get golden treatment and put in 0 effort.

Now when I see men in committed relationships, I feel sorry for them. They dont know any better. They get abused in every way possible, manipulated and hate their life. I would never want to go back to that.

When I saw other men going through hell and observed the beasts that they were married to I was like nope and told myself I'm going through that shit if I want to get married. The accusations, divorce rape, the abuse and the other bullshit that women pull made me take the red pill and accept reality for what it is and now I'm here.
