The Jataka, stories of the Buddha's past lives, are sort of murky as to their canonical status. Some of them appear to belong to a common store of traditional folk stories that circulated in India and were simply given a Buddhist veneer. They were, however, very popular forms of instruction and entertainment in Buddhist countries.

Hippy girls are the worst. They believe in all sorts of pseudo science or straight up gobbedly gook nonsense like healing crystals and the paranormal. They pay lip service to ideologies/ religions like Buddhism yet have never meditated or read anything beyond surface level bullshit. I've said it before and I'll say it again: women aren't religious, they only use religion if it benefits them, socially or tangibly, because any major religion worth anything knows of their nature and restricts them, and having stringent requirements and restrictions on their sexuality and freedom goes against their biology, even if it's better for mankind and civilization.

They're only entertain religion for goods/services or at the end for existential fear.

1) I've never once met a female buddhist in America. They don't exist. 2) Buddhism has many different schools of thought. Imagine totally pwning a catholic in a meme based on the beliefs of protestants. Jataka itself does not originate with the buddha himself. 3) Even the buddha himself would have you question his own teachings and decide what you will for yourself about them.
