On of my best friends told me today that he is ring-shopping for this 41 year old single mother of 2 AA mixed kids he's been head-over-heels over for more than a year. He's 28.

When I was in the Army, my unit was permanently stationed overseas and we were considered "geographically isolated". After about 3 months my 19y/o roommate starts facetiming someone every night for fucking hours (until 1-2 AM) doing that really sicking "what are you thinking of? I dunno, stuff. What are you thinking of?" Banter that drives people insane and I had to sleep with headphones on.

After about three months he suddenly announces that he's going on leave to get married. This comes at a complete shock to us since he never talked to anyone about having a girlfriend and I was the only one who knew about his Facetiming. Apparently he had been "dating" this 300lbs 35y/o single mother with 3 kids (all from different men, she hilariously was pregnant when he was "dating her" and when he got married) through Facebook and it was true love at first sight, literally.

Every single soldier in our unit from me all the way to the chaplain and the Captain had tried to talk him out of it, but he was the type of guy that grew more resolved if you disagreed with him and would get more and more stubborn the more you present him with facts about why he's wrong.

He left, was gone for a week, and came back as proud as he could be and showing off his wedding band. Poor fucker. I deployed with him several times and he's a good guy (if not stubborn), but every time we deployed, his wife would magically find out she's pregnant 6 to 9 months in the deployment, much to his delight and our horror. He's up to 7 kids now and his favorite topic is "why don't I got money, Lord?"
