I speak with a lot of my clients through the phone. Talking on the phone can take up anywhere from 20- 60 percent of my workday so you know I want to spend as little time on it as possible. I do a lot of very intensive, time consuming work and you'd think talking on the phone would be a break from that.

Most of the time I have to get through a receptionist or assistant that is always, inevitably a woman and that triples or quadruples the time I spend on the phone. I can tell that their mind has been fucking off the entire workday playing on their phone, chatting on social media, whatever they are doing but all of sudden they have to kick back into professional mode and their thoughts are somewhere else. They mumble, slur their words, take ten minutes to explain something that should take ten seconds or I'll try to explain a high school level issue to them and no matter long I take or how simple I make it they still don't understand.

It is a complete waste of time. I don't know what these women are capable of doing but it's not herding phone calls in IT. When they don't understand they immediately get upset and take it personal. Trying to explain things to these women is pointless when all they want to do is cause problems.

I've come to understand that every woman is like this. I've worked with women in very high up executive positions and they still have no clue what's going on when it comes down to how their company or the system works. I work with a woman very high in a financial company that makes a very impressive paycheck but most of her job is calling the people below her and encouraging them to do their work. She plans meetings and finds people to set up teleconferences. That's it. Do not every expect higher thought processes from a woman.
