What's really pathetic and sad about women is that they are incredibly influenced by pop culture, or pretty much anything really. If the masses and media are saying it, they think it. It's really screwed up women more than they would normally be. Lyrics and meme's just resonate in their heart and brain.

I had a girlfriend that quoted these lyrics. Because I didn't like her loser girl friends or care about impressing them at all. She was like "wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends". That should have been a clue as to how childish and mental these women are. I should have just taken that literal and boned all her girl friends.

"overdraft account" cannot be stated enough. almost every girl i meet and talk to is in debt. just crippling debt but they don't care. they are young and its easy to get any random hourly job like overpaid secretary. then they have their orbiters. it's easy to justify a big debt with ZERO savings when money just seems to never end. but it does. and then they become like vampires for blood, but their blood is beta bucks.

I think the Spice Girls are slightly better role models for young women than say, Taylor Swift, whose songs all seem to be about how fuckboys ruined her life but it's ok because they're hot, or most other recent female pop artists who write songs about getting drunk at clubs and fucking. But yeah the whole "girl power" music movement seemed to start in the 90's which brings me to another point: i was lost on some of the messages in those songs. Like Paula Cole, it's like, so you're bitching because your husband isn't a cowboy but he pays all the bills and you have to wash the dishes? Poor baby.
