My mistake, I suppose I didn't now enough about where you're coming from to know what you meant by that first statement. That works well because I'm here out of curiosity really. I enjoy learning new ideas wether I agree with them or not. I've found several topics that men's rights groups push that surprise me. I found that I agree with the fact that men get royally fucked in divorces and most particularly when kids are involved. This led me to wonder what you guys who have written off the whole concept of marriage would have to say about it all.

For me marriage has been awesome. I'm 10 years in with a wife I love more all the time. My life has been constantly improving since I first met my wife. You've probably had a few friendships like that. There are some people who just click and understand each other well enough to really help each other live a better life. When I made a friend like that I also found physically attractive I decided real quick to propose. All evidence so far tells me that was a great decision. She's been amazing.

I can understand wanting to avoid a risky legal contract, but I am baffled by how many guys around here have given up on finding a friend like that who they get to also have sex with. There are plenty of shitty women out there, but there are also plenty of great women. I think I'll keep coming around to share the other side of the coin. If you guys have lost the ability to believe that women can be decent human beings you've slipped down the same slope as the feminists. Perhaps I'll stick around and see if I can't help bring a less radical viewpoint to the discussion.

Society views every individual as disposable. That's because there are more than 7 billion people and at the end of the day we can always be replaced. It's not even hard. This is a good reason to join a community where we do matter. Vonnegut wrote about this a lot. I recommend all his books. You seem to be about the right age.

Logical fallacy that 50% of women are unicorns, as it is your own inference. Most men will do anything to keep the wife happy including cucking themselves. Some men would rather commit suicide than lose everything they have built. These don't get captured in the marriage/divorce stats.

Where did you get your less than 5% statistic from? Pew research states that more than 1 in 5 men, aged 25 and older are unmarried. Less people are getting married, and cohabitation is on the rise at 12% of all couples.
