I have been a supervisor for a major mining company , and have been the person who conducts interviews, looks over resumes sent to me from HR , checked references etc. This sort of shit does happen. i would be out and about , especially at parties or social gatherings , and wouldn't get the time of day , not that I asked , from a lot of people.It was only when they found out I was in the role I was in ,and they were chasing the big dollar mining jobs , that their whole attitude and demeanor towards me would do a complete flip.I got to the point that I would tell people I was just a worker drone for XYZ company. Its not just females , people in general. Its what they can get from you that seems to be the thing nowadays.

nobody is that retarded that in a job interview when someone comes up and says "Hi nice to meet you" they would think they are being hit on.

if I was the person in charge of hiring, id go and sit with the interviewees like I was also interviewing for the position.

I'd definitely judge them based on our interaction.

When going for a job interview you need to find as much about the company as possible. Most company websites have a bit about the CEO and other executive staff. You never know who you will shake hands with at an interview.

And not all executives suit up day to day either. Appearances can be deceiving.
