Self-development is a big thing for me - and men in general - so I'd like to share what I have found to be the most effective practices and techniques. I am pretty certain that a week's worth of practice alone will result in noticeable results for anyone interested. If anyone is interested, I can go into a lot more detail with the empathy and deception parts, using youtube videos to walk you through the processes.

Body Language: Your body language shows others how you feel, and also tells them your social status, strength, and vulnerability. Predatory types, for example, will look at body language to identify potential victims. As your mind and body also work in a loop - affecting one another - you can very easily change your body language to change how you feel and raise your social status (people will react and treat you differently). To do this, at least once a day (better twice or thrice) walk for 15-20 minutes: back straight, shoulders square (and relaxed), arms swinging loosely by the sides, and head up facing directly ahead. Breathe through the nose - not an open mouth - and smile just enough so you can feel the corners pulling up (doesn't have to be perceptible). In about a couple of weeks it will become natural.

Emotional Processing: Rule your emotions or else they will rule you. Suppressed emotions also don't go away, they just sit there and eat away at you like poison. This is why emotional SJW's are so easily "triggered" (as are most people, actually). The solution is the so-called "CORE Technique". Practicing this daily to rid oneself of negative crap that's built up over the years (along with a huge sense of relief] also results in automatically "catching" emotional reactions and identifying them as they happen, meaning you detach from them and their power over you (and the power of other people to emotionally manipulate you). There is also a longer walk-though by a female of this technique. I don't know anything about the video authors, their personal views, or any of their other videos, just that the technique they show here work.

Reframing / Non-Judgementalism: Words have immense power. There are also huge differences between a report (factual), an inference (a guess), and a judgement (a personal opinion masquerading as a fact), specifically in how people think and emotionally react to things. For example, note how you think and feel differently about the same thing, depending on how it is expressed, e.g. "That guy is lying unconscious in the road" (report), vs "That guy is drunk" (inference), vs "That guy is a bum" (judgement). Reports are best as they are most impartial and accurate, and least biased and delusional. To be judgemental is to be delusional (and therefore not have a firm grasp on reality) since that operates on the belief that personal, subjective opinions are general, objective facts. Even if only once a day re-frame something you think or say in a more truthful manner (even if positive, e.g. "the weather is miserable" vs "good weather for the crops").

Empathy: This is not the same as sympathy (feeling bad for someone). It just means being able to know how someone else thinks and feels about something, regardless of whether you personally agree with them or not. It is not about what YOU would think or feel or do in their shoes, but what THEY are thinking and feeling. Understanding how people think - being able to see the world through their eyes - means you can deal with them easily and even predict what they are going to think, feel, or do before they know. To do so, pick someone (anyone), and imagine what they could possibly believe, think, or feel to behave the way they did (inferences, not judgements). As many as you like. Then remember any times in your life you either agreed with similar behaviour or behaved similarly yourself, and what you believed, thought or felt at the time. You should always find enough of a match to be able to at least understand them. This also has the benefit of getting rid of any negative emotions about others.

Manipulation and Deception Detection: It's easy to learn the basics and being able to detect manipulation and deception in real time takes away all their power. Most people use the same tricks and techniques, and it is pretty easy to see straight through people's BS and even figure out their hidden agendas. This video on manipulation is pretty much all you need to spot toxic types a mile away. Verbal deception is much more suble, but this video on common logical fallacies is pretty good. Here are examples of logical fallacies for Clinton and Trump. Here are examples of deception for Conway and Scott. Here is an example (using the Hare Krishnas) of how to deal effectively with deceptive answers via a Jesse Lee Peterson interview. Best of all is the book called "Doublespeak: From Revenue Enhancement to Terminal Living, How Government, Business, Advertisers, and others use language to deceive you" by William Lutz (don't bother with "The New Doublespeak" which is watered down).
