Split reading/coding sessions into 15 minutes chunks. Use app BeFocused or similar.

I personally have a hard time focusing on a task unless I have music playing. Stuff without lyrics can work best for some people (lofi or maybe jazz )

The best way to learn is to build something you and your friends will use, and then continue to experiment and build around that, learning the tech as you go, in real use, not as dry theory.

For app-making the Ray Wenderlich video courses are quite good.
