A lot of young men ask about missing out on relationships and how to deal with FOMO.

I know that feeling. It's easy for me to get depressed if I am feeling too much and spend time with happy couples and only see the happy side where there is a lot of love and validation. In the moment it makes me feel like I missed out but it only happens when I'm already depressed. It's like I see a relationship as a way out of misery or the thing that will fill in the void from the love I never received as a child. I didn't notice it until I observed myself and tried to be objective.

When I'm calm I just do my own thing and focus on making myself happy without relying on external validation. I don't crave romantic relationships because I see other options in life that I will miss out on if I choose a relationship which is never guaranteed to work out successfully like society makes you believe.

I think the key is not to spend too much time in a rut thinking about missed opportunities or focusing too much on one path. Society makes it seem like a romantic relationship is the only way to achieve true happiness that nothing else will ever measure up. This is not actually true. There are many ways to live a fulfilling life but it's easy to get lost if you are surrounded by people whose only happiness comes from relationships.

When I was a child I never had this problem. I never cared about missing out on anything because I didn't have a predetermined path in my head that said the only way to be happy is to do this, if you don't do this you're missing out and you're going to regret it when you get older. I was living in the moment and had many other things on my mind to fulfill myself. As I got older I began to feel unhappy about missing out on things that everyone else did but it's because I was stuck in a rut and believed there is only 1 path to happiness.

MGTOW gives you many other options to live a fulfilling life instead of only following the life script. Focus on what little kids do to be happy and realize you can live with that freedom except with more money and resources.
