You know, I’m kinda on this same road too. I feel that every year that goes by, I understand life and people, and get more at peace with everything. I don’t hate people but I keep my distance because I know we are not on the same page. In the past, I would be super mad, but now? This person doesn’t fit into my life so I leave them alone.

Just stay with like minded people, that respect and love you, and continue. Life is truly unpredictable and we should not waste energy on sweating the small stuff.

Like George Carlin said: “I like people...in short bursts” I’d probably have to agree, could probably extrapolate that to love too. Go your own way, fall in love with life and even death. Accept things are the way they are because that’s how they ought to be.

yeah i am also pretty happy that the broken nice-guy part of me got cut out of my soul. Acceptance is the true way of letting go. For me it was six month with going to rehab and going to therapy.

Now i am 28 and welding with plans set to get me education on 2023.

While I agree with you, in my opinion, everyone has the obligation to try to improve the world. Key word there is try. To me, going your own way is what you do after realizing that you’ve done your part in trying to improve the world. You can’t fix stupid so you just let stupid do it’s own thing and step aside.
