I just made a killing this week.

Growing up broke, $20 seems like a lot, you could grab a pizza and movie from Redbox, what else could this white-trash boy ask for?

But now I feel like a penguin experiencing flight for the first time.

I took a significant portion of my wealth, and carefully studied what was a good investment.

I saw an opportunity, and put in the amount of money I was ok losing.

And it paid off... Big...

If I had obligations to family, I would have curtailed this risk.

I think this is a broader trend that could continue in market volitility.

Tons of disposable male income going towards speculation.

I don't know what will happen in the market.

But what I do know, is that if I lost half of my wealth I would be ok, the family man is hanging by a shoe-string. He can't afford risk so he can't claim reward.
