So everyone knows about it. It's basically the "man-child" insult because when a man is happy that's pretty much a bad thing in society, especially for women for some reason, because as anyone married knows, a man's happiness is by far the worst thing he can possess in marriage. No wonder they buy sports cars when they're divorced.

So who was "Pan"? Those of you with a classical education recognize him from Endymion by Keats or from your Greek studies. Otherwise you filthy peasants know him from Peter Pan by the psychopaths over at Disney. Green looking dude, hangs around with young boys often.

But the "real" Pan? He was a Greek God, well known for (depending on the account) famously fucking all the ladies, as he was super Chad, as well as killing all the ladies (as all Greek Gods do on various whims).

His famous pan flute (known as a Syrinx) of different length reeds was a girlfriend (Syrinx) that tried to #MeToo him so she got all chopped up, then reassembled into the instrument because he wasn't sure which one was her. Guess Chad didn't catch a name on that plate.

Echo, a dancing and singing girl he was interested in plating, apparently would #MeToo all the lads and not do the nasty, in some versions, so he told all her followers to kill her, in different versions she was committed to her "Chad" but got the axe anyway by Hera. And then there was Pitys, who tried to escape so was turned into a pine tree. Gods can be real assholes.

So basically, you don't attempt to #MeToo Chad, rumored to be older than the Olympians themselves.

Speaking of which, here's some interesting trivia, because I forgot which subreddit I was on, you know what they call girls who sleep with a lot of Chads? Pan girls. True story.

Another interesting thing unique to Pan, is that he's the only God to actually die. Sometimes Gods are turned into other things like above, but he's the only one to actually die.

What does this have to do with Peter Pan syndrome?

Pan represents (if you're into the neopaganism movement from way back, and who isn't?) the Wiccan "horned one" so when all the witches were being hung in Salem, Pan was once again "slaying" the ladies. There's a reason this hairy goat is always fucking all the ladies in witch cults.

He also represents the pre-"civilized" age as to why he's associated with children in Peter Pan. He's a never ending child who is also has the power of a God, his only romantic woman is an unreal fairy, his enemy is adulthood in the form of the fear of "time", the enemy of all men, so is a metaphor for the resistance of the passage of time that kills us all.

Jordan Peterson talks of this syndrome, but where he gets it wrong is he seems to associate it as men who won't grow up, or are stuck in some childhood age until their twenties. But if you listen to him speak on it, his idea of adulthood continues to be, when you boil it all down, "wife, kids, job, 40 hour work week, slaving for other people under some concept of 'moral responsibility'".

Naturally, that's not very MGTOW. I see it more as not a "man-child", but a "God-child". That's what Peter Pan is. A Chad who decided that marriage, commitment, a shit job, and all that is for the simps and people who don't want a fun, exciting life.

No wonder women hate it, being a God-child is fun and makes you happy and you piss your money away (if you want) on motorcycles, guitars, and adventures. You don't take a lot of orders, you do what you want. IDGAF was a tat somewhere on Pan's body.

God-children go skydiving in their 70s.

Man-children bitch about social security in their 70s.

Which one sounds more like a dependent child? Following the "correct" path and way through life? Or making your own path and doing whatever you want?
