In victir Frankel's mans search for meaning he claims meaning in life can be found in 3 areas.

  1. in pursuit or ambition of a goal or craft. ( Like Elon musk, or a determined scientist or athlete)
  2. through loving another person or through the appreciation or love of art and or nature.
  3. or even in suffering out of the individuals control( such as fighting cancer) you can find meaning enduring the struggle. However he is clear this doesn't not count for needless struggle like working a dead and job, or pursing a dead relationship. Not taking action to avoid this is just masechistic.

So this had me thinking, looking back on my life. I have only felt a strong meaning in my life in the inflation stage of a relationship... This is an obvious problem being mgtow. I assume the vast majority of society finds there meaning through 'finding a soul mate's or caring for their children. Neither of which I want to engage in. I am only 25 but I have worked several different jobs, restaurants, acadamia, industry. All of which I have only been able to see has a bill payer. As much as I try I struggle to change my mind set to achieve the feeling of passion great achievers feel.

I am curious has anyone else struggled to find meaning in their life, relationships, and careers.

What have you done to remedy it. Should I focus less on my career and try to establish meaningful loving relationships with friends and family.... I am working on the family side, but living in a small ish town it is tough to find people my age who want this, most just want somebody to validate their life.

Tldr; After breaking away from societal norms: marriage, kids, high powered career, materialism... How are you able to find meaning in your life
